Celebrating Indigenous Cultures and Contributions

This month is National Indigenous History Month, a time dedicated to enriching ourselves with the history, culture, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. By acknowledging the past, National Indigenous History Month allows us to reflect on the history of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. Learning about the different cultures, languages, and traditions that have shaped our country for thousands of years helps us connect with our Indigenous peers and better understand the history of CanadaWhile at times painful, acknowledging the legacy of colonization, residential schools, and systemic injustices, is the only way we can work towards reconciliation and a more inclusive future.
